how can I set up messenger on an imac

Hello,

I am attempting to sign into messenger on my work imac using my apple id but I continue to receive a response that there was "an error occurred during authentication". I need to sign in to messenger to send information to our clients. Please help me. Thank you

I can't sign in to Messenger on my Macbook, but it works fine on ios Lately I have found that Apple routinely won't accept my password, primarily on my older MacBook Pro (Sierra 10.12.6). It then forces me to reset my password which opens up a whole series of events... Logging in to multiple apps on different devices. Not withstanding the annoyance, the new password is accepted everywhere by on my MacBook. I've been in a cycle of resetting passwords and resetting memory etc, but nothing is working. Since I use the Mac calendar etc, it's a royal pain because nothing will sync to my MacBook. Help! Please!

Messenger unexpected error When I try to login to Messenger on my Macbook Air, I get an Unexpected Error message. I can login on my iPad. Any ideas?
