Can you start editing a movie in iMovie 10.1.14 on one Mac and finish it on another Mac? How

I have not been successful transferring a movie in process using iMovie from one Mac to another Mac to finish editing it. Can it be done?

You would need to create an iMovie library on an external drive that is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Plug the external drive into Mac #1 and open the library with your iMovie app on that Mac. Create your project in the library and start editing it. Then unplug the drive from Mac #1 and plug it in to Mac #2. Open the iMovie library and iMovie project with the iMovie app on Mac #2. Finish editing. You can transfer the drive back and forth between the computers. The iMovie apps need to be the exact same version on both computers.
