Macbook Spill

I spilled ginger ale on my mac book just about 5 days ago. When i spilled the drink, the laptop immediately shut down. However, i have a keypad cover so the liquid didn't seep through the keys, but rather through the touch pad. I plugged in my mac and the green light wont turn on. I had the laptop turned over on it's side ever since. Am i screwed? What do i do?
