Recently bought an iPhone 8 thru sale site seemed legit but now says there's a activation lock im assuming from previous owner. Is there anyway to remove so i can access phone? I tried all other options but no luck from person it was bought from IEMI isn't reported

How do I remove Activation Lock? Bought an Iphone X a few days ago and it was locked to owner. Sent the request to apple to get it unlocked. I was given a case number and they will contact me with further updates I made sure to have the IMEI, the proof of purchase and they also ask for the address of the store I bought it from which I had. Activation Lock Hey, I recently bought an iPhone online and when I received it it was activation locked. I was just wondering what I can do about this? Is their any way I can find the owners and contact them? Or anything apple can do to help me out. It shows me part of the Apple ID but most of it is dotted out. It would be good if it showed the whole thing so I could contact them and let them know what’s happening. Thanks

No way to open the device without the credentials of the previous owner.

Try to get your money back because the device is useless to you.
