Textbox in iMovie

Has anyone addressed this issue recently? I find the title options limited when I want to place a caption on a picture. Windows Movie Maker handled this beautifully, but they stopped supporting the program. I bought a Mac hoping my movie making issues would be resolved instead of complicated.
