How do we get Pages to automatically fill our information when using a template.
I wrote a letter just now but could not figure that one out so I did it the old-fashion way.
I am certain that there is a place to enter my information and tell my Mac that this is how I would like to handle my templates.

Here is a document that I opened from the Classic Letter template.
Click on the Place Holder Text and type your own details.
Your details are no longer Place Holder Text.
Menu > File > Save as Template.

There is no old fashioned way since Pages v5 was introduced in Oct 2013. There is no Mail or Data merge in Pages since that date, nor in Pages v8.2.1. So, you can not automatically populate data in Pages templates as was possible in Pages '09 v4.3.

I was hoping for more of an automatic fill solution but that will work.

If you have the address information in a text file, you can copy and paste it onto the salmon placeholder content to save extra typing.
