iPhone automatic time is wrong

I have an iPhone XR, Sprint is my provider. Over the past couple hours, my time changes between EST and CST. I’m nowhere near the border of the time zone (currently in Orlando, FL area). I have it set to automatic time and the time has location permissions enabled in my settings. Is this an issue with my phone or with Sprint? The same thing is happening on a family member’s phone—so I’m thinking it’s a Sprint issue. It doesn’t resolve after being connected to WiFi either. Anyone know a remedy besides manually picking the time zone?

More than likely a Sprint issue. Your time comes from the cellular tower, so there could be an issue with the tower in the area you are located in. Contact Sprint customer service and see what they have to say, or at least be able to report the problem where you are so they can check the towers in the vicinity.
