Error Message: com.apple.imagecapture error 4294957375 (-9921)

Sorry I've not connected this with the original string. I thought I had, however.........hey, ho we are where we are.

All has gone painfully with Catalina and my HP Envy 7640 printer/scanner. Scanning is the issue: I managed to get a fix that's lasted since January 2020. Today the subject error came up and I've found scanning is getting even more labour intensive. I have, however, found a workaround. Open apps in Finder and click on image capture and it works.
