How can I use my ipad (7th gen) as a secondary display for my macbook pro retina, late 2013 with Catalina 10.15.1? Sidecar won’t work with this year macbook

I discovered I needed to download the app to both my MacBook and my iPad. Your link worked perfectly to download onto my iPad! However, I wasn’t able to find a duet app for the macbook when I searched Apple apps, but I was able to download onto my Mac from the website duetdisplay.com.

Unfortunately, Sidecar will not work with that setup, as it does not meet the system requirements. Use your iPad as a second display for your Mac with Sidecar - Apple Support There is no way to do it with your current equipment.
