I found a way to share voice memo's to facebook friends, you need a macbook. follow these steps or refer to video

1. click share on your voice memo and choose airdrop to your macbook
2. once received m4a. file, drag and drop it to the open fb chat as shown. It is important to drag and drop rather than opening in chat as the option to select will be greyed out. Hope this helps you guys! https://youtu.be/Z2X4f0T6seY

iPhone 5S, iOS 12.4.5 - Had this problem too, until upgrading Messenger to v.262.0

I’m getting exactly the same problem. I’ve tried sharing from my iPhone 11 and iPad 5th generation, both running iOS 13.3.1 get the same error. I’ve tried to share using messenger.

Me too but mine is sending pdf files.

Can someone teach me how to fix it? It only started last Nov 2019z

Same problem here. I can share thing on Whatsapp no problem but Facebook Messenger am getting the same issue. Force closing and restarting doesn’t help at all. I’m in lockdown at the moment and not able to back up my iPhone and put it in testing mode and all that so stuck. To be honest, that sounds like a huge headache to me anyway.

Same problem here. It’s very frustrating that this can’t be resolved. Used to share to messenger just fine and it seems like this error has been going on for several months now. Its not like it’s a special audio file or anything. Just regularly formatted audio

Same. Cannot share files to messenger. Some friends with iPhones can. I cannot. Frustrating in this virtual COVID-19 environment.

I’m having this same problem whenever trying to share notes from my note apps. It’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve restarted my phone, the apps, I’ve updated and everything. Nothing fixes the problem.
