Texting PDF files from my iPhone 7 Plus to any Android

Over the past several months, I'm no longer able to text PDF files from my iPhone 7 Plus to any Android. The message shows undeliverable. What changed? Several iPhone user that I know have this problem. I can't seem to find any questions or answers related to this problem. Maybe someone here can help. Thanks

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 13

Sending files via messages to non-Apple devices requires MMS messaging.

MMS messaging requires all of the following:

  • Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging = “on”
  • MMS messages being permitted under your cellular carrier plan (may cost extra)
  • Settings> Cellular > Cellular Data = “on”

Additionally, PDF files are not a typical file type for MMS. Your (or the recipient’s) network may have some restrictions on this file type.
