HP Envy Photo 6220

Apple mac was previously running Catalina together with an HP printer/scanner- all fine. Apple replaced the logic board on the mac, I upgraded to Catalina, restored my mac. HP printer works BUT NOT the scanner ...apple.imagecapture error 42949557375. Have removed the HP printer drivers, reinstalled them still no joy. Literature shows all fixed once CatalinaOS Version 10.15.3 is loaded. Well i'm on 10.15.3 and scanning still a problem- can scan a mazxium of 3 sheets in a single document before the sytem falls over.

Can't get an answer out of Apple of HP.

Try this, connect your printer/ scanner to your mac using a cable if possible and switch it on. Connect your mac to your router via cable. Open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, now select your printer in the left column and press the minus button to remove it. Quit System Preferences, now open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners now press the plus button and select your printer. This might nudge the mac to contact HP and ask for any software/ firmware updates, you should get a notice that it is doing that, see how it goes.
