What's the Cloud icon mean?

I have a number of playlists, built from music imported from my old CD library. Some of the tracks end up with this dotted cloud icon, and whenever I try to share these playlists on Apple Music, those tracks are omitted from my shared playlists.

What exactly does that icon mean, and how do I address it so that my complete playlist gets shared on Apple Music?

A dotted-line cloud can mean that your song is waiting to upload, not uploaded, or no longer available. We know that if you can listen to the song, it is still available.

You can make sure that the song is uploaded by right clicking or control-clicking on the song and clicking "Add to iCloud Music Library," as seen in the screenshot below.

However, songs that aren't in the Apple Music library won't appear in shared playlists anyway. If you want these songs to appear in your shared playlists, search for them on Apple Music and add them to your library that way.
