OS X Catalina
The songs loading is extremely slow. The internet connection is working fine, everything else that requires internet is working.

After a ton of troubleshooting, I was able to figure out what my problem was. As has been reported in other threads, iTunes and now Music sometime duplicate your playlists (without you doing anything). I had a folder for my "Smart" playlists. When I opened that folder to check, it had duplicated my dozen or so smart playlists into about 300 smart playlists. When I deleted this Smart Playlist folder, all of the performance problems went away!!!!!
What's interesting, is that for sure lots of pepople at Apple use Music. So I'm sure all or lots of them have the same issue that we have...

Thanks. I was about to reply that Big Sur has a new Music version and for sure will resolve this... Good news to get confirmation ;-)
This sounds like it might help. Where on the hard drive do you find these playlists and playlist folders? In other words, where do I go to see if this bug has multiplied my playlists? Thanks!
Probably the slowest application on OS X.
Will be switching back to Spotify once the three month trial expires.
I have same slow issue here... But here, other Apple apps are slow to, for e example the App Store. Wits you, is just the Apple Music?

Yes, maestro 1827, the limit is 100,000 tracks, not including those bought with the iTunes store.
Same here. Loading startup-screen takes a loooong time, loading songs also, but less. It's so annoying that I'm considering switching to Spotify Premium of even YouTube Music.
