OS X Catalina
The songs loading is extremely slow. The internet connection is working fine, everything else that requires internet is working.

After a ton of troubleshooting, I was able to figure out what my problem was. As has been reported in other threads, iTunes and now Music sometime duplicate your playlists (without you doing anything). I had a folder for my "Smart" playlists. When I opened that folder to check, it had duplicated my dozen or so smart playlists into about 300 smart playlists. When I deleted this Smart Playlist folder, all of the performance problems went away!!!!!
I just signed up to apple music $5 voice plan and the app IS SLOW and lagging/laggy i came from spotifiy and its taking FOREVER TO LOAD SONG also my iphone 13 mini is a week old and i have no apps running in the background
why is this such an issue before this update was running fine now its slow as **** i do have a large library. but i never had this slow *** loading problem so why hasn't this issues been address and fix yet very unhappy!!!!!!!!!!
Fix this app! Music on Catalina is unusable. This is shameful. I just upgraded my late 2012 mini to Catalina and can’t believe just how awful this upgrade is. If there was a way to go back I would but I don’t have another week to get things right. Music is one of the most user unfriendly apps I have ever seen. Just ****.
How are you getting multiple copies of folders? But yes it is terrible and very slow. Previous versions were much faster. Apple has been dropping the ball lately.

I'm on a fiber line (1Go DL / 800 UL) , with a 2018 macbook Pro on SSD. No issue regarding performance, it's an Apple music issue for sure...

Same here! On Apple Music on my Mac songs don't stream, searches don't show results... You really have to be lucky. " Quickly" putting on some music is frequently not possible on my Mac.

The Safe Mode restart that I performed had no lasting effect. Music will still not open. Why is Apple so silent about the problems with this app?
iTunes worked better 10 years ago than this music app does now - I started experiencing problems even before Catalina - Apple has gone down the tubes!
