Macbook 16" maxed out 5K$, white transparant screen after login (LOW COLORS).

Dear Apple community,

I have bought a Macbook 16" a month ago, but suddenly experiencing in 2 weeks 2 times last time today a white screen after the latop wakes up from snooze mode.

I paid around 5000 euro's and this kindly ****** me off.

I have reached the customer support and we went to trouble shoot, the first shoot was restart. As soon as I click restart the programs were shut down and the screen went to normal. When i informed the agent on the phone he said if the laptop is back to normal I cant make a case on it, he said please look a closey eye on this problem.

Is anyone having the same problem?

Hello TipsyVision,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are having an issue with waking your MacBook Pro from sleep. To help with this, please see if the relevant steps in this Apple resource help with your situation, including these steps:

  • Reset the SMC.
  • Reset NVRAM.
  • Disconnect external devices other than your Apple keyboard, mouse, and display. If that resolves the issue, gradually reconnect your devices, testing each time, until you find the device that is interfering with sleep. Then check the documentation that came with the device, or contact the device manufacturer.
  • Start up in Safe Mode to see if the issue is related to non-Apple startup items, login items, or kernel extensions.
  • Try to isolate the issue by using another user account

If your Mac doesn't sleep or wake when expected

Cheers!

Thanks for replying, TipsyVision, and that additional info, it really helps! Next, try running First Aid on your hard drive with the built in Disk Utility tool, as this can correct simple issues like you're experiencing.

Disk Utility for Mac: Repair a disk using Disk Utility

If you're still having this issue, you can make a backup of your personal data and put a fresh copy of macOS on your Mac using OS X Recovery mode, as that will overwrite these system files causing the issue.

Dear less,

The white transparent screen comes only when the laptop wakes up from sleep but not always. It happend 2 times since purchase.

Its not that the laptop doenst sleep or wake. >>>>After the laptop wakes up from sleep there is a white screen or less color just look at the images the there is something with the screen that doesnt dissepear unless i restart laptop.
