Explicit content on Apple Music

I can’t listen to songs with explicit lyrics. I tried to change the “content restrictions” for “music, podcast and news”, but nothing has improved. What can I do?

Hello carlotta32,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble playing songs with explicit lyrics. I'd be happy to share information that may help.

Do you see an error message when attempting to play a song with explicit lyrics? If so, try the steps here:

  • Launch the iTunes Store app.
  • Search for an explicit song.
  • Play a preview of that song.
  • If prompted to allow explicit content, tap allow.
  • Go back and see if you're able to play other explicit content in the Music app.

Take care.
