Video keeps reappearing and duplicating in Photos

I imported a video from my dashcam's SD card to my iPhone (using the Lightning to SD adapter) earlier this month and I noticed that the video had multiple duplicates. No problem, I thought, and deleted them.

Then the videos kept coming back. They do not, however, appear in my iCloud Photo Library on either Mac.

After some troubleshooting, I figured I'd try disconnected my phone from my iCloud Photo Library and wipe all the photos off the phone. Everything was gone.

And then the video started coming back, and in greater numbers than before. There are now 227 copies of this one video on my phone and I'm stumped.

I'm running the latest public beta of iOS 13.4, so that may be part of the issue. Possibly.

Hi, so after having the same issue for about 3 months, and apple support being completely unable to help every time i call them.... I THINK I found the solution. I was getting the video duplicated more and more often day by day. Eventually every 5 seconds so i had THOUSANDS to delete every day by the time i figured it.

I had the Google Drive and Google Photos apps on my phone. Somehow... the video ended up on the Google photos app and so it was continuously backing up that video, non stop. Since i got in there and deleted it... I also went into the Google drive and deleted it there too. (Make sure you empty the deleted bin the same way you do on the phone)...

I really hope this works for me.... and also for you. I’m at my wits end and seriously debating going back to Samsung!
