Iphone XS storage full on bootloop want to update software no restore!

Having identical issue here. Cannot believe it. It has been how long since the issue was first reported. No luck on all the “solutions” offered by Apple. Apple, please fix the problem ...

Am wondering how you guys eventually fixed the issue? Throwing the iPhone to the river?

I had exactly the same issue and totally agree with your comment below:

”They should have sold the phone with a disclaimer that “ ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST IF YOUR STORAGE GETS FULL” .

Android phones dont have this issue. I have been loyal to Apple for 10 years now and if i lose my photos and videos, i am surely going to stop buying Iphones, if Apple is unable to resolve this issue.

Is there email or contact of senior person in APPLE to whom we can address this issue to come out with “A SOLUTION TO FIX THIS COMMON ISSUE”????”

I have the same issue. Funny thing is that the device was working when I took it to certified Apple shop to get battery changed and they broke it. They were bit too eager to just destroy all the data, but I didn’t wanna do it just yet because no backups. No idea is there any way to save the data. :(

Storing 11 pro until Apple finds a fix, switched to an iphone 5. Nightmare.

What was your previous ios version before update and what version have you installed?

I have iphone 11pro ios13.2 installed which is around 4.5gb and current version that i can use ios14.2 (6.1gb).

since problem caused by lack of storage i don't think updating via 3utools would help me.

we need something like ios lite version which will be around 1gb only for accessing essential files like photos, videos and documents. Then after securing our data, we can use standart ios. Wish Apple cares for us.

I am gonna put my phone in a drawer like you did and store for years maybe.

My photos and videos must be saved no matter what.

I haven't tried update still on apple logo loop. This is first step.

I don't wanna make this complicated and don't want to take any risks. So 3utools might help to get through this or make things even worse.

I don't know why Apple doesn't care about us, thousands of people suffer this major software/hardware problem.

What I don't understand........... why blame Apple for your own stupidity...

You ALL have a section Settings--> General--> iPhone storage.

You ALL could look there to see how much space is left.

You ALL should back-up your "precious" photo's, video's and whatever else is on your phone.

Do You also blame Microsoft when your harddisk is full and the PC won't boot up???

No we don’t blame. Because you can boot any device (not just PC) in the world even with 1kb space left. Maybe it won’t be operable but you can boot.

Let’s assume if you cannot, you WON’T LOSE ANY DATA because of that. System data and user data is and should be different.

In this case: When the root filesystem size somehow exceeds the storage capacity of the device, it is a major design/development/coding (you name it) problem.

How come one can defend a failure like this. Unbelievable.

I have this problem on xs Max 256 gb!!! Memory was full and my phone didn’t work correct! I haven’t backup!

Apple have really made a mistake in allowing a phone to reach such a full capacity!!!

It’s a normal situation when memory is full! I tried to do backup but my phone didn’t it and got a boot loop!

I have exactly the same problem. Full storage - stuck on apple logo - couldnt update due to Error 14. You should hear us apple there are a lot of people out there.
