MacBook Pro high power usage while idling

My 2019 MacBook Pro 13-inch consumes around 20 watts while idling and I can't even do normal browsing for 3 hours without plugging in the power adapter. Is this normal?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you have some battery life questions, and I'd like to do what I can to help out.


Looking at your screenshot, the battery health looks great. The battery percentage after 2 hours of internet usage looks normal. That can fluctuate, depending on what you're doing on the internet. Watching videos, playing games, for example can use more battery than just reading articles.
