I have two macbooks pro (2017 and 2018). I installed update of MacOS Catalina today to 10.15.4 and my DisplayLink D6000 docking station doesn't work from this point. I installed beta drivers of display link from a customer, but it didn't help. So, the only option is to connect displays via the apple adapter and hdmi, which is weird because you need 2 for 2 external monitors.

It has worked on and off for me. I finally got my monitor up again and am leaving it on.
exactly whats happening to me and SUPER frustrating. I can get the mac to work in clamshell ONLY if i change the monitor to display port 1.1 and then i only receive 30hz...
Posted the steps I got it fixed. But it’s still glitchy.
Key is
a) SMC reset
b) Power-cycle all devices.
c) Approve devices or drivers to be connect with MacOS at Security & Privacy Settings.
Unfortunately, that is not the case for myself and some others on here. Still no joy with my dock.
After a successful downgrade (its possible but requires searching with google) don't forget to turn off automatic updates.
Not surprised, neither by the need for a firmware update, nor Dell's inability/unwillingness to provide a path for Mac's to update the firmware.

Try the full SMC Reset from the Apple Official guide. The extended steps after the 10 sec power button hold.

Most folks who buy hubs want more connections that will fit on the side of a Mac.
Most folks would just buy pc's and they were happy thus...
Most folks that bought Apple in the past would got that extra mile for reliability thus...

That dock I found works great.. but only duplicates displays instead of extends. 😡🤬
Mac do not support mst in alt mode, it can only duplicate. I got the same situation when buying targus 410.... I was forced to buy another adapter plus my targus to get 3 display
Interesting, my monitor is also connected via DisplayPort. How did you reinstall DisplayPort?
I found that if I restart the Macbook and close the lid, the external monitor will come on during boot, but once boot is completed I only have the Macbook display available. Have anyone tried this?
