Same just happened to my 16 inch MacBook Pro. Luckily Ive had it less than 2 months so its under applecare. I will update once Ive visited the genius. Absolute farce for the price payed.

• Reset SMC
• Upgraded to BigSur.

Is there any additional information on this issue. None of the video capturing applications on my MacBook pro can find the camera. However, Citrix can gain access to the camera. Please advise asap.

I am having similar problem since May 12 2020( last used mothers day May 10th and was fine.) In my hardware list under camera it says "no video devices were found", and, for me, it also is not showing up in USB. Have Mojave 10.14.6

I have the same problem as yours. I tried all possible tricks from the internet, but no thing worked.

I don’t think it is an occasional issue since so many people exposed the same issue in other languages Apple Form.

I have spent an entire day looking for a solution. As you all have explained before, it suddenly stopped working. No damage or harm to my mac, so any camera damage (physical can't be the reason).

Running on the newest version: catalina 10.15.5 issue still continues.

I am having the same issue. No green light. It started with face time but zoom was working. Now zoom isn't finding the camera either. I checked the system report and it says "No video capture devices were found" No trauma or damage to my computer (although plenty of trauma and damage to me if I cant use zoom or FT in 2020!)

I have the exact same issue and I did update to Big Sur and it still does not recognize the camera. I am constantly using FaceTime Skype and Viber and now it's a big problem for me. Any other ideas on what to try? It happened all of a sudden. I thought updating to Big Sur would help but to no avail.

The same problem still exists after updating to Big sur????!!!, I don't know why apple don't fix the problem. No replies and fixes from apple and nowadays Camera is essential, especially in a $3000+ Macbook???!!!!!

Yes, the built in camera not working. The only way to solve it is to replace the screen and logic board. If you are not under apple care you are looking at around a £900 repair bill. Apple always try to hide faults. It’s the only negative about the company.
