Late 2012 Macbook Pro freezes and audio stutters. Might be a graphics card issue?

My Macbook Pro has a problem with freezing. Happens pretty much every time I start scrolling around in Google Maps for more than a few minutes. Just happened when switching tabs in Firefox. (5 tabs open, switching to a YouTube video that was playing). Sometimes happens when popping into Exposé. Makes me think it's an issue with the graphics processor but I really don't know.

Display will freeze and then any audio playing will start to stutter. By that I mean it will take the last ~.2 seconds of whatever audio was playing it and keep playing it over and over, about 1 second apart. I always just hard restart it with the power button. Did just discover that after about 30 seconds it just automatically restarts.

I have dusted out my computer (without taking apart so I'm sure I could do that and do a slightly better job) with canned air. I feel like my machine does run sort of hot which may be the reason, but after installing a temperature monitor and doing some Googling, it doesn't seem like it's overheating.

At most I'll have mail, firefox, messages, spotify, notes, and calendar open. I don't think that's too intensive. If I do run XCode or Photoshop or something intensive it's usually just that Spotify or Firefox. No more.

Has this happened to anyone? Any solutions?

Thank you.
