Quicktime Player no sound after recording

Hello,

I have just done a screen recording on QuickTime player, normally I use a usb mic and after recording I review back my footage, but today for some reason I don't have any sound. I checked if my mic was working by using voice memo and the mic is fine. So I decided to check another on of my recording I did the other day and the sound is coming out. Yesterday it was working fine but ever since I did an update, for some silly reason it doesn't want to record.

Hi MrLKJ,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I see you are having an issue recording sound with the microphone on your Mac and QuickTime. I'll be happy to help.

It sounds like you may need to authorize your microphone for QuickTime, as shown here: Control access to your microphone on Mac

Then, verify that the internal microphone is selected, as shown in this article: How to use QuickTime Player

If you haven't restarted your Mac in awhile, that step can always help with unusual issues.

Take care!
