Add applications to "Automation" in privacy tab of "Security & Privacy" System Preferences

You normally get a dialog upon running QuickBooks, informing you that QuickBooks wants to control Apple Mail. If you click OK, then Quick Books gets entered in that Automation panel from your screen shot. If you decline that dialog, it doesn't get entered into the panel and QuickBooks is blocked from using Apple Mail. Decide.

A work around of sorts for emailing without Automation forQuickbooks for Mac 2020.

For an individual invoice or statement, choose PRINT, (from anywhere) then when print pane opens, lower left, choose PDF /drop down menu, and select Send In Mail. Sends one at a time through your Mail app. Can save as Draft.

I am having this exact problem. I unlocked preference panel as well. quick books 2020 is not listed. Quick books 2016 was listed so I moved it to the trash. restarted and reinstall QB 2020 still not there.

Further, several pathways for email opportunities, from QB menu bar, from @email toolbar, email button from invoice, statement, email PDF file, all end up with the same dialog box, which interestingly has incorrect terminology for the Security&Privacy>>>>path.

Did you try unlocking the Preference panel?

Same difficulty here. Repeated efforts including all mentioned, and several restarts of laptop.

Dialog warning box says exactly: "Scripting Permission Problem"

Going to the Security & Privacy window under System Preferences, there is no +/- box anywhere. Unlocking the preference lock and using Drag and drop QB icon from Applications folder into that window does not work.

Unsure what your response "Decide." means.
