Hi Apple Folks,
When I update macOS 10.13 security updates, after restart mac hangs on apple logo screen ?
Progress bar is full or almost full.
Probably some (old) software extensions or kernel extensions ?

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

It should be some file in the system library which blocks loading the system after security updates.
Maybe you know what is in the way ?
I'd uninstall Intego per their directions & make certain all the NetBarrier, VirusBarrier, & INTEGO files are gone.

Iam sorry for the late answer, but I found some old ppc.kext extensions that were in the way. I removed them and installed the security updates successfully.
