iOS update issues on my iPhone 7 Plus

Happy wedding. Apart from problem when taking phone calls, are you experiencing the problem of shooting videos with no sound? At beginning I didn’t have it but after 14.0.1 I have it additionally.

I have contacted Apple support all times and no help. Now it s 14.2 released but it does nothing to solve the problems

Yes no sound while record videos (which sucks because I have kids) the sound bottom is grayed out

FaceTime shuts off/ won’t connect

calls have no sound (button grayed out)

I can’t use my talk to text button on my keyboard.

I am having the same issue. My phone will only allow me to make calls if connected to bluetooth, The Speaker is Greyed out and I am not able to hear anyone nor can they hear me. Sometimes when I try to make a call it will cancel the call and say "Call Failed" It started 3 days ago. Its such an inconvenience and there is no way I should have to upgrade to a new phone at my expense. Apple should replace our phones.

On my iPhone 8 when I get calls in I used to be able to answer and hit speaker ... after the update I do not have that ability ? I can’t get to the speaker no matter what I do ! I can’t even get to that screen ! I use this for work and it is creating havoc 🤬🤬🤬🤬can anyone help ?

What do you see when you answer the call? What screen is displayed?

I have the exact same problem!!! It just started today. I did some research and found this discussion. My phone works fine. The speaker is grayed out. It works when I plug in my earpiece and or iPods or my car. But hearing my phone is completely gone.

This is not right. It’s not a one off or anything. It’s affecting a lot of people!

Apple makes it seem like your product is inexpensive or anything. A new iPhone version comes out like every 3 months with updates all the time. Making a 1.5 year phone seem ancient.

So unhappy. I’m thinking of switching to a different phone as iPhones and their products seem to be very sketch making us rely on new products when in reality it should just be a reliable product in general!

Keep calling. Squeaky wheel ..... you just want your phone back to the way it was before you accepted the update.

There are a lot of posts that the same thing happened to many iPhone 7 users after an update. Apple is very aware.

If it’s hardware then why is it happening immediately after an iOS update? Sorry but I don’t agree ....

If it is hard ware, why there are so many of us having a same issue after the update. Sorry, I was updating a software, I didn't do any hard ware update!!!

Same thing here. After updated to 14.1 the issue with mic persist. Now I just can speak through a Bluetooth headset. The phone still freeze occasionally. Apple still ignore as....

sadly there is no fix as far as I know. I had to get a replacement phone. The software update affects the hardware and another update won’t reverse it.

I was perfectly fine with my phone up until the update. Surely if it’s a flaw - we need to flag it? Can any apple advisors - provide some info on how a recall/fix is initiated?

Even the service guy at the apple store here in Rome knew there were growing requests - Apple corporate refusing to acknowledge- very disappointing.

The exact same thing happened to me, i called apple trouble shot for an hour. The update ruined my phone and i had to buy a brand new one. Completely ridiculous
