Hello brynne10,
It sounds like the camera is no longer working on your MacBook Pro in any apps. You've taken some great steps to isolate and troubleshoot the issue, and I'd like to give you some additional steps to try.
If your camera isn't working in apps like FaceTime or Photo Booth, there may be a software or hardware issue to blame. Did this issue occur after downloading a specific app to your Mac? If so, I recommend deleting the app to see if your camera starts working again afterwards.
If there isn't a specific app that caused your camera to stop working, try out these steps next:
- Reset the SMC: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac.
- Test out Photo Booth while logged into a brand-new user account: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac.
- Run diagnostics to help determine if there is a hardware issue: How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac.
If the issue is still present in a new user account and Apple Diagnostics isn't reporting any hardware issues, reinstalling macOS may be the best next step. This step should not remove any of your data from your Mac as long as you don't choose the option to erase your disk. However, I still recommend backing up your Mac first. Here are a couple of links that will explain how to back up and how to reinstall:

Take care.
