Apple TV 2nd generation won’t airplay Disney plus

Disney Plus requires an Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K to load the Disney + application. It is not available on Apple TV 2s or Apple TV 3s. Also, Disney will not allow Airplay to work. If you would like Disney + then it is time to upgrade.

Unfortunately, Disney+ doesn’t support AirPlay to an Apple TV (2nd generation).

You are missing that you have an Apple TV 2nd generation and the article you linked to says you need an Apple TV 3 or later to use Airplay. In short, it's time for a new Apple TV.

@rkaufmann87: I think you misunderstood my attempt to contribute. I was adding to the thread that AirPlay is supported for Disney+, but not for OP’s model Apple TV.
