macOS Catalina 10.15.4 won't be installed on my Mac.

Hi there,

I tried doing this but it didn't seem to work after the installation. It just restarted and didn't complete the update.

Do you know how I can delete the software entirely from my computer? I deleted the disk after the installation..I'm not sure if that is the same thing.

I did this and it did not work. I have been having problems all day and i feel like giving up. I turned on Safe Boot, tried to download the combo update, and once again it told me i needed 10.15 to install it which is weird because that is what i am tring to install. I REALLY need help. can you please help me?

On my 2017 iMac with a 1TB WD Black NVMe M.2 and 2 TB SSD, which has ran like a top, I hit a brick wall on the 10.15.15 update. The install seems to stall (see attachment) for hours. I am going to boot from my clone, and try to download and install the combo update. If necessary I will try the “safe” boot mode if necessary. Very frustrating.

I will give it a try. To m it is very strange that the install process stall partially. I would think I would either continue or not, but stop partially seems odd. I will try logging in at root, download and give it a whirl. Maybe a permission issue? I have use disk utility and first aid with no errors.

I will advise on the results.

After 30 minutes, booting to the Catalina installer I am stalled again. This boot came from the Option key and boot to the installer. I tried root method, but the system never rebooted (black screen only).

Am I missing something here?

My thought was, great - now I can figure out the cause of my problem (unable to install OS X on my iMac). Unfortunately (or maybe not) the results were - "No Issues Found." Still searching for a solution.

Update:

While trying to boot to my Catalina USB installer, I tried booting in Verbose Mode. Here is the installer log. I am still trying to interpret. The 2 of 2 log contains the ReportCrash results.

Thoughts?

I downloaded 10.15.4 directly, installed in Safe mode, am not on wifi....still not installed. I have rebooted/installed more than a few times....I'm done.

My machine is NOT booting. Screen is completely black. Is there anything I can do to get the system to boot up?

Why I have to do this step? Safe mode bla bla..., like to install windows several years a go? Apple, please fix this issue or release another automatic update.

I am currently on macOS 10.15.2 and can't update to 10.15.4. After I restart it, it is still showing "update now". Please help!
