Obtain data from PC iTunes backup (dead iPhone)

Hello,

My iPhone 7 saddly broke and it can not be turned on. I had in it photos with my memories that i would like to get back. I haven´t used an iCloud for making backup of my photos.

A day before my iPhone died I synced my iPhone with PC so there is a backup of the phone somewhere in my PC.

Question is.. My new iPhone is on the way and I´would like to know, if the new iPhone can be restored from the backup that is somewhere in my PC or not, so I can get back those photos.

Thank you.

Though I am not aware of the new iPhone which you are expecting but would like ascertain you that you can restore your new iPhone provided you have same or higher iOS version on your new iPhone than that of the backup.
