Bought new airpods gen2 with cable charging. When unpacked noticed there is no synch button on the case. Is that a fake product or do I miss anything? Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm new to Apple products.

Yes, there is nothing on both sides, just clean case. This is what I received from the store:
