AirPods Pro case makes clicking sound

Hi, i have recently received my airpods pro which i bought online from apple store. However, i have found a manufacturing defect on the case itself. It makes a clicking sound whenever i exert a small force which causes the lid to move side to side. I have contacted apple support and they have told me it was not a normal issue. Due to the COVID-19 , my country , malaysia, is under lockdown. Apple retail stores are currently closed so there is no way for me to exchange it as of now. My main issue here is that i have engraved my name on the case and it took 3 weeks for me to receive it. As i have emailed the nearest retail store for this issue, i was told that an exchange was possible but there will be no engraving option. Is this apple return policy? i might as well have bought it from online shopping platforms which had ready stocks.... Please clarify on this issue for me guys.
