My iPad screen randomly cracked, after putting it in a case.

I got a refurbished 12.9 pro from Apple, arrived on 2 days ago and today my case arrived (pipetto origami) so I tried putting my iPad in. After succeeding I noticed a single hair line crack (pictured) on the side. It wasn't even where I was applying pressure to put it in the case. Heck even if it was, it shouldn't crack right? Just pushing it into a case?

I do have apple care but I really don't want to waste one of two accident Al repairs on something that shouldn't have happened; I don't feel like I did anything another user wouldn't have done in regular use..

I'm making this post to ask what for what to do as well as evidence for later since I don't know if I send the iPad off now, that I will get it back fast. Because of the Corona virus and all the stores are closed.

Thats socks (why is socks with a U censored?)! Imagine being p00r (why is p00r censored?) and saving up for ages, for a premium Apple product and the screen basically cracks on its own on the second day

>.< What a joke.

Are you sure there's no cover for what's probably a fault in the glass's quality?

I read something similar here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8453992

Unfortunately there is no ‘shouldn’t have happened’ clause in the warranty. You can use one of your accidental damage instances or just live with it.

If it doesn’t bother you then you may want to wait a month or two until things calm down. If not since Apple stores are closed you’d need to use an authorized service provider for your repair (although what they will do is, if you pay the service fee, exchange your cracked ipad for another refurbished replacement)
