iPad Pro screen cracked on its own?

A couple of days ago, I was sitting at work, drawing on my iPad, as per usual, looked up for a second, looked back down, and theres one long crack from the top to the bottom of my screen. Planned on taking it in today after work because I need it for work and have the next 4 days off, didn't want to not have my iPad, and boom, right as I'm about to leave, I'm showing my co-worker my drawing, and a nice bunch of little spiderweb cracks appear out of no where. I have never dropped my iPad, never left it in my car on a hot day, never dropped anything on it. I treat it like a newborn baby because my entire career is that thing and since I don't have AppleCare, and I bought it off of eBay, so no warranty, I have to pay 600$ to have the screen fixed? Is there seriously no way around that?

Apple staff can tell you about the crack. I have had the problem twice and apple replaced the ipad both times. It seems a single edge to edge hairline crack occurs spontaneously, likely a flaw. If there is any spider web in the crack it means it was hit and no replacement. You are under warranty. Make an appt at the Apple store and they will likely replace the ipad assuming no signs of damage otherwise. My screen just cracked for the 3rd time. It was in a hard case with a glass screen protector. This problem needs to be addressed publicly.

I thought I was going crazy. The past few weeks I noticed that the finger print ID had not been working great. I thought about bringing it in but it wasn't sure it was something I could replicate. The home button would get a little hot and cause the home button to fail.(I had read on a forum that can happen when charging) I was home alone using it this morning, left it on my desk when I returned the screen was cracked around the home button and hairline cracks up the screen.

PCAMAN , did apple tell you anything else? Is this common? Will they replace the IPad or just the screen? Any advice on how to get it replaced. The truth is I have no idea what happened. I love apple products but I can't justify paying $450 to fix something I didn't do.
