Video calls not ringing

During a recent update on my iPhone XS Max, my phone no longer rings when someone is video calling using WhatsApp. Not even the contact specific ringtones.

I have shut it down, etc but the video calls do not ring.

When someone calls, it shows a banner up top that someone is calling BUT if I’m not watching the video (just listening) no ringing sound comes on to alert me that someone is calling. this is only when A video is playing. Incoming WhatsApp video calls have no alert sound!! My IPhone 11 makes no sounds when there is an incoming Video Call On WhatsApp? It rings when it’s just the phone call & pings when it’s a message - but nothing on the video call! I’m now missing calls? Thought I’d looked through all the notifications but I must be missing something- any ideas!!!!

WhatsApp calls not ringing on my iPhone 13 Pro Max Hello, my iPhone 13 Pro Max seems to regularly miss calls from WhatsApp. When people call me via WhatsApp video (also audio) my phone just doesn’t ring even though it’s: -not on silent -has the volume turned all the way up -notifications are turned on Both WhatsApp and my phone have the latest updates installed, and I’ve had this issue occur regardless of whether the phone is in low power mode or not. I only know people have tried to call me when I receive a flurry of messages from them asking me why I ignore them, and I have to explain to them that I’m having this issue.

Same on my gf iPhone SE 2020. Sounds from incoming messages and voice calls. Yet not from incoming video calls. Quite annoying.
