Airdropped video not showing in Photos

I've got a video on my Macbook Pro that I airdropped to my iPhone X as a .mov file. The airdrop seemed to work but the video is not appearing in my iPhone's gallery. Storage capacity though has been reduced by the size of the video. I changed the video extension to .mp4 and airdopped again and the same thing happened. The video took up storage on my phone, but it's still not showing on my device. Any suggestions?

PS. both devices were updated today to the latest MacOS and iOS versions respectively

iPhone X, iOS 13

Hey nicholisd,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I understand you're running into an issue locating a video that was sent via AirDrop.

AirDrop will come through within the same app it was sent from. You can see more about that here: How to use AirDrop on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're not seeing your video, try restarting your device. A restart can resolve a variety of issues: Restart your iPhone

If you're still not seeing it, try to AirDrop a photo and see if you're able to view that on your iPhone as expected. If you are, let us know where the video you're attempting to AirDrop originated from and we'll go from there.

Thanks again, and have a great day!
