Safari supporting the camera on my Macbook Air

Iwas trying to do a live video o facebook using Safari as my browser. I got as far as clicking the "go live now" button. Then a box shows up saying "Your camera is not supported by your current browser." Why won't the Apple browser recognize the camera in my Macbook Air?

I'm afraid that isn't true. Last night I successfully did a Facebook live broadcast using Chrome on my Mac. Safari doesn't work trying to do the same thing. Seems odd that Apples browser doesn't work on a Mac and yet Chrome does.

Apple , any solution please?

1. Startup in Safe Mode:    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

    Login to your account.

    Launch Safari and test. Quit Safari.

    To exit Safe Mode, click  in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.

2. Empty Caches from Develop menu twice.

    Use the developer tools in the Develop menu in Safari on Mac ...

3. Remove website data;
