Safari supporting the camera on my Macbook Air

Iwas trying to do a live video o facebook using Safari as my browser. I got as far as clicking the "go live now" button. Then a box shows up saying "Your camera is not supported by your current browser." Why won't the Apple browser recognize the camera in my Macbook Air?

Make sure camera is allowed.

Camera

  • Ask: The site must ask if it can use the camera on your Mac.
  • Deny: The site can’t use your camera.
  • Allow: The site can always use your camera.
