phone disabled

I have an iPhone 7 here and I forgot my password, I kept trying and it now says connect to iTunes. can someone tell me what I do once im on? I searched on google and it said to go on find my iPhone and erase this device but it will only erase when it connects to the internet. how am I supposed to connect to the internet if I cant even get on the phone?
