Move to iOS not working

Please can someone help me... I am trying to transfer all my data from my Samsung galaxy prime to an iPhone 10 and it is not working...

Here is what happens..

I put the android on airplane mode, forget all other wifi connections and try to connect to the ios wifi hotspot, i put in the password correctly but the android will not connect. it come up with the message "wifi may not be available"

The android still accepts the code from the iPhone and the transfer "starts" but after it gets to about 8% it says "connection interrupted" I believe that this is due to the WiFi hotspot not connecting properly because I can't understand what else could be happening to interrupt the connection.

I have already considered the following, Smart Switch is disabled on the android (uninstalled) and the iphone is using the latest software and has been reset.

If you could please help me solve this i will be massively grateful.

Thanks in advance

Move from Android to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Just do it exactly like it says in the link above. Read it all carefully before you start especially this section..."Tap Move Data from Android"

If you decide to do it this way do not keep the Android in Airplane Mode.
