16" MBP Radeon 5500: High fan noise / GPU(?) usage issue with external HDMI displays

It's a problem a huge amount of people are having with the 16" Macbook Pros. See this thread:

There's no fix from Apple after all this time so it's super disappointing and super frustrating for everyone who purchased such an expensive laptop. There's no fix in sight either...

That is pure speculation—why so pessimistic...

There's zero reason to be optimistic Apple is going to fix this anytime soon if at all. If you have proof show me.
