Migration Assistant

Downloaded migration assistant for pc to mac, installed it, but when I run it, it says that I have to close a program that is running, windows mail. I removed mail from my pc, but it continues to say that I must quit mail. I have reinstalled mig. ***. 5 or 6 times and rebooted 5 or 6 times but it continues to say shut down mail even though Iit is no lomger on my pc.
