Why can't I see audio plug ins in Mojave

Hello Everyone,

I finally updated my recording computer this year and I'm now using the last version of Mojave. I'm trying to remove some outdated components, but they don't seem to appear in Library>audio>Plug Ins>components anymore. Can anyone please help me find them? I know it's easy, I just haven't learned this new "feature" yet. :)

Missing Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL My audio stopped working after installing the Mojave software update many weeks back and at the time when my audio stopped working, I tried some simple troubleshooting but nothing worked. Now I'm seriously trying to fix this issue and a fix that many people did was going to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL and deleting the InstantOn.driver. When I go to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins, there is only a Components folder, a digidesign folder, and a VST folder. All the folders are empty, in-fact, all audio folders are empty. Does anyone know how I can install the plug-in HAL so I can fix my audio or how I can fix my audio in-general? Answers will be greatly appreciated :)

Removing sound plugins Hello, I have had a sound output plugin named "Extention Recording Driver" on my computer for a while now. It appears in the drop down list when selecting the sound output. I can't remember what I installed to get it on my system, but it was when I was trying to find out how to record system audio. I removed soundflower a while ago but I've not been able to find the process to get rid of this "Extention Recording Driver" in the library/plugins directory as there is nothing with that name and I don't want to delete the wrong kext file(s). Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying process? It keeps switching now and then to this recording driver automatically too.

Audio Interface Not Appearing in Sound Preferences I had recently upgraded my OS from Mojave to Monterey and found that my programs were all freezing so I had decided to downgrade back to Mojave by erasing my computer and backing up my data from Time Machine which is designated to my external hard drive. That seemed to fix the freezing issue and all my programs are working normally. However as a follow-up to this issue, now any audio interfaces that I connect to my Mac do not appear in sound preferences. I tried redownloading my drivers and any necessary installations in order to get my laptop to recognize the interface I'm using (Focusrite Saffire Pro 40) and still nothing. I wonder if during the erasure/OS reinstallation process that my drive became corrupted but thats the only clue I have, any help is appreciated! Thanks for responding. I did that, but I wanted to remove them as well as I won't be updating them. So, I discovered that these plug in files are now invisible for some insane reason, so I made them visible and removed them by hand. I didn't hide files, so I don't know if this is default for apple now.

Do you mean32 bit plug ins?

just deselect them in plug in manager where they will have not validated at the side.
