You likely have the Microsoft Store version of iTunes installed. You may have better luck removing it and using the direct download from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64.

Okay, here's what I found thus far. If I connect an iPhone 7, iTunes is able to recognize the device. Windows has no problem seeing this iPhone 7. However, if I plugged in my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I have that same error. Is it because the iPhone 11 Pro requires more power?
No, I manually select the driver that I've down loaded and it still fails. I already tried that method and posted the result back in Apr 4, 2020 12:48 PM and forward. Again, it works on other iPhones such as 5, 6, and 7 just not my 11 Pro max.

If you click Search automatically for updated driver software you're doing it wrong.

Fair enough. I don't understand why that device would be treated any differently. I guess you'll have to reach out to Apple Support and see if they have a fix for you.
