how to see itunes library

How do I get my itunes library and the itunes store to appear at the same time as split-screens, on an Imac? I want to avoid toggling back and forth, so I can see what items ive already purchased when shopping.

It seems like it would be to Apple's benefit to allow users to be able to compare songs in the store against songs already in one's library, to purchase missing songs, or to avoid buying duplicates. Also, when you go from the library to the store, it opens on the home page, not at the page you were at when you left the store."

Seen as Unessential:

It's done to decrease CPU Usage and Virtual RAM consumption. Elsewise much may overheat.

Provide Apple Feedback on this:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Select: "User Interface" for the "Feedback Area"
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Les - If you really want to see them side by side, it is easily done. Make a smart playlist with one rule that includes all songs in your library. Right-click that smart playlist and choose Open in New Window. Keep your main iTunes window in the Store.
