Gmail labels are not syncing to Apple Mail folders

I see messages in my Gmail account (under a certain label) that are not showing up in my corresponding gmail folders in Apple Mail. These messages don't seem to be syncing even though I have the show in IMAP button checked. Can someone help me in how to sync this properly?

The content of my emails disappears after minutes, then reappears minutes later. I think that my emails have begun to be stored externally and not locally. How do I turn off this problem? The email notice is still visible but the message and attachments go away for minutes at a time. In all mailboxes [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Gmail not showing up in mail macOS Ventura My Gmail account is not showing up in Mail. The account shows up in the list of internet accounts and calendar dates are synchronized in Ical, but next to the email setting the status button it only shows "checking." This is not an issue on my other devices that are still running on Catalina.

I did both actually - tried creating the label online in the gmail account and also tried creating the folder in Apple Mail. Only new messages are showing up. Old messages on the gmail platform are not showing up in Apple mail folders.

What are the Label names & did you create them in WebMail or on the Mac?
