Redirected from a pop up

I recently went into popcorn time on my iPhone 7 Plus (the link is a https and has a lock symbol) and when I went to watch a movie an add popped up saying I needed to update my iOS.I tried clicking off this add but was quickly redirected to another tab.I clicked out of the tab and the name of the tab was “Mega Shield Released!” I quickly deleted both of the tabs but I am worried that I have now got malware on my phone.Does anyone know if this is something to worry about and wether I will actually have a virus?My phone has not been feeling any slower or different since.Thanks.

Such messages are scams. For future reference you will continue to see bogus advertising if you frequent such sites.
