Catalina shows as "installed" on my mac when I look at my app store. When I try to run this it simply doesn't go. I get stuck on this screen all the time... a screen that says "Catalina will be installed on Macintosh HD drive. I click Install and nothing happens. I tried to restart my computer numerous times. I have over 15 GB free as well ... HELP!

So what is your issue here?
If you can not install Catalina then reboot into Safe Boot Mode and try again—

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc. Login
