Beats Studio 3 Cracking

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has had issues with these headphones? I have the studio 3 (skyline collection I believe) and I barely use these things and they do not leave the case on my desk. I've already had a replacement, but I now see that my new pair is breaking as well. It's in the area right above the ear cup, the plastic just beneath the expandable band part is cracking. I mean, I have a big head, but I cannot believe this build quality. Anyone else experienced this?

I have the exact same issue. I also have a big head (I wear a 7 1/2 hat size, big but not enormous) and both sides of the headphones cracked in the exact same spots after having the headphones since December 2019. I sent them in for repair under the limited warranty and was denied. They asked for $199 USD for the repair cost since this was "customer abuse" even though the damage came from simple widening the headphones to put them on. I told them that many others online reported experiencing this exact issue and this is a design flaw, but they said unless Apple comes forward and starts accepting repairs for this particular reason then they would not cover this under the limited warranty.

I'm extremely disappointed that such an expensive product would break down physically as a result of its intended use so quickly. Currently looking for somewhere where I can submit product feedback about Beats. Hopefully Apple recognizes that they are selling a very faulty product.

I took those $200 Apple asked for repairs and bought a new Jabbra Elite 85H. Very comfortable and amazing sound.

i am out of the Beats business for good.

I have the same problem as well. I gave up and taped them with packing tape since they are just out of warrenty. I will not be buying Beats again

I used some Helicopter tape (search Amazon). It's the same thing used as a paint protection film on cars. The best thing is its clear so if you do a good job you don't notice its not original.

beats are rubbish . cheaply made . they replaced mine twice under warranty but oc they don’t last . i had 2 pairs of sennheisers that lasted over 10 years

Good for you! I am still attempting to resolve this issue outside small claims court. Customer service reps have been wonderful in working with me but there hands are tied.

yeah

initially they replaced them more than once the first year !!!

i felt cheated . these are the worst headphones . so expensive … for what ? i never even took them out of the house

it’s really one of the cheapest pieces of junk . prob the worst headphones i’ve had . really took advantage of customers trust in apple AND dre .
